President Akufo-Addo has given the strongest indication yet about his position on lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBTQ+) activities in the country. As far as the President is concerned, the legislation of same-sex marriage to become lawful is not a matter he will ever consider. “I have said it before, and let me stress it again, that it will not be under the Presidency of Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo that same-sex marriage will be legal,” he said Saturday.

President Akufo-Addo will receive the first dose of the 600,000 COVID-19 vaccines which arrived in the country on Wednesday. Dr Anthony Nsiah-Asare, the Presidential Advisor on Health who disclosed this said the move “is to assure Ghanaians that the vaccines are safe.” He added that “other reactions like headache, dizziness, or pains are all usual with every vaccination.”

On Tuesday night, February 23, Ronaldinho sent a message via his Instagram account to thank fans and friends for their show of support following the news of his mother’s death. “My family and I thank you all for the love and support we are receiving at this difficult time. My mother was an inspiration of strength and joy to all who knew her and will continue to exert her light in our lives forever. With the strength she taught us, we will continue our journey. Thank you,” he wrote in his post accompanied with an image of him hugging his mother.
